Revealed Knowledge
Students will gain both theoretical and practical understanding of Quranic exegesis, hadith principles, legal theory, hadith, memorization, substantive legal rulings (furū āt), Muslim history, and discursive theology (kalām/ aqīda).
Rational Knowledge
We provide a K-12 curriculum fully Islamized as proposed by Dr. Ismail Raji Faruqi, integrating secular sciences with an Islamic paradigm.
Tazkiya
Emphasizing spiritual growth, we follow the methodology of Tazkiya as described by Imam Ghazali in his "I yā Ulūm al-Dīn" and Hazrat Thānwī's spiritual writings, aiming to attain the pleasure of Allah ta ālā.

Nestled in the heart of the Historic District of Elgin, just 35 miles (56 km) northwest of Chicago, Burhan Academy proudly occupies an expansive 18-acre (73,000 m²) campus. Our state-of-the-art facility comprises eight fully functioning buildings dedicated to serving our community as a daycare, Elementary School, Middle School, High School, Gymnasium, Library, Computer Lab, Media Room, Prayer Hall, and much more! Beyond the classroom, our extensive outdoor sports complex features, regulation size basketball court, weight room, track field, four full-size tennis courts and a regulation soccer field, providing ample space for athletic excellence for our students and community! This beautiful campus is certainly poised to become the community’s spiritual, educational, and cultural epicenter, catering to all ages and groups! InshāAllah, Burhan Academy will mark a revolutionary turn in the West, with its walls set to nurture future intellectuals and spiritual mentors.

We have a fantastic team that will strive to make our students excel in Islamic Studies, Quran, Arabic, as well as the K-12 curriculum of math, reading, and other core subjects.
