The meaning behind Burhan Blazers
1. First Part of the Ayah (Burhan as Clear Proof)
The word Burhan refers to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the clear message of truth he brought. This highlights the essence of undeniable evidence and guidance in Islam.
2. Second Part of the Ayah (Brilliant Light)
Allah (SWT) sent down a brilliant light, symbolizing divine guidance and enlightenment. This ties directly to the Blazers, representing individuals who emit and spread light, embodying the values of clarity, guidance, and brilliance.
Our beloved Prophet is reported to have said:
“The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than a weak believer, while there is good in both.” (Sahih Muslim)
At Burhan Academy, we believe a robust athletics program is instrumental in providing our students with a well-rounded education.
We have renamed the gym to the Salama Bin Al Akwa’ Center named after the companion of the Prophet who ran faster than a horse.
In addition to offering P.E. to our full-time students twice a week in our full-size well-equipped gymnasium we are offering sports academies and camps that are open to everyone.
We are looking forward to partnering with dedicated skilled coaches, organizations, and parents like you to bring more athletic programming for our students and community.
